Shipping Returns & Rebuilds

 

Sorry we do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Orders are shipped via UPS (United Parcel Service).

Shipments with a value over $3,000 USD will require a signature to be delivered. All packages are subject to signature requirement at STM's and UPS's discretion. 

Orders are processed after payment is received by STM. Most orders will ship out within 1-3 business days.

Shipping charges cannot be refunded for late deliveries if the cause of delay is from an emergency or severe weather, per UPS terms.

STM makes every effort to ensure that you receive your merchandise complete and in working order. It is VERY important to inspect all merchandise upon arrival to confirm that everything is in working order and there are no missing or damaged parts. Shortages and missing items must be reported within 48 hours of receiving shipment by phone or email to STM. No claims or shortages or damaged items will be accepted after the 48 hour period. The ONLY exception to this time frame will be weekends and holidays.

Customers must provide a contact phone number and email when placing orders. UPS may use this contact information to reach customers if there are fees due or if there are problems delivering the shipment. Customers are responsible for communicating with UPS and making the arrangements to receive the package. If UPS cannot contact the customer within 48 hours of the original delivery date the package will be abandoned. While STM will make every effort to contact customers on behalf of UPS, STM  will not refund or exchange orders due to an abandoned package.

Package refusals and packages that are returned to us by UPS after three delivery attempts are made will be handled the same way as returns (see below). Once STM receives the package, you will receive a refund for the product price only minus all shipping charges (original charges and fee from UPS to send back to STM) plus a 15% restocking fee. 

International Shipments

STM ships to all countries where UPS (United Parcel Service) delivers.

Any orders over $500 that have a shipping or billing address outside of the US or Canada, and all orders shipping to a freight forwarder must pay by wire transfer. 

We do not ship to PO boxes, please provide a physical address.

All international shipments are subject to customs inspection and may incur duties, taxes, or brokerage fees based on the tax law for your country, this is not an STM fee. All duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are in addition to our shipping charges and are due at the time of delivery; all such fees are the responsibility of the customer and placing an order confirms your understanding and willingness to comply with your country's import tax rules. STM cannot predict what fees will be charged so these fees cannot be included in our quote. 

 

When possible, UPS will deliver packages to your shipping address. If any duties, taxes or brokerage fees are due, UPS will notify the customer of the balance due at delivery. You, the customer, are responsible for paying any fees in order to receive the shipment.

 Flate rate shipping is for U.S. orders only. International shipping rates will apply.

Orders over $4,000 will be shipped ground only.

Most orders will be shipped out within 1-3 business days.

 Alaska and Hawaii orders have additional fees.

 

Product Returns 

Anything being sent to STM MUST have a Return Authorization form (link below) in the box explaining what is to be done, your contact information and a copy of your sales receipt or order number.

 All return documentation must contain Seller’s Returned Materials Authorization (“RMA”) number, if applicable and returns must be requested within 30 days of the original date of purchase. All returns must be in their original packaging and in new, unused, resaleable condition. No credit will be issued on used or incomplete parts. Seller may refuse returned shipments not approved by Seller or not properly identified. The request for return approval must include serial number, part number, lot number, and date code (each as applicable), and full identification of product(s) to be returned. Proper handling procedures must be used in the packing and shipping of all returns. Products must be returned in the same or equivalent container in which they were shipped with the RMA number clearly visible on the package. Buyer retains title and assumes all risk of loss relating to products returned for repair or replacement until Seller completes repair or identifies products as replacements. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. There will be no reimbursement for shipping.

You must put the return authorizatrion form in the package that is being sent in.

We do not pay for return shipping if there is a miscommunication on verbal orders. To avoid this and to ensure accuracy, it is best to place your order online.

 

Clutch Rebuilds

Anything being sent to STM MUST have a Return Authorization form (link below) in the box explaining what is to be done, your contact information and a copy of your sales receipt or order number. 

 

Clutch Rebuild Process:

*Call STM at 248-673-8408 or email at info@stmpowersports to request a RMA number and rebuild form (this will be emailed to you and it is also below.)

*Package item carefully to avoid damage during shipping.

*Fill out Rebuild Form and place in box. Make Sure RMA number is clearly visible on the OUTSIDE OF THE BOX.

*Ship package to STM REBUILD DEPARTMENT (address on Rebuild Form) and make sure to insure your shipment for the full replacement value of the items in case of a lost or damaged package during the shipping process.

 Clutches will have to be inspected by a tech at STM to verify if repairs will be covered under warranty. Please review the Terms and Conditions tab on our website to see warranty information. If the clutch is not covered under warranty it is the customer's responsibility to pay for repairs or the return cost of shipping.
